“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” takes place live in Times Square on Wednesday night. Gossip Cop has a live stream below!
Seacrest will once again be joined by Jenny McCarthy, while Fergie will again handle West Coast hosting duties from the Billboard Hollywood Party. Over the course of five and a half hours, more than three dozen musical acts will appear, including headliners Taylor Swift and Florida Georgia Line.
One Direction, Elton John, Iggy Azalea, Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor, Lady Antebellum, MAGIC!, Rixton, Pentatonix, Idina Menzel, Bastille, Gavin DeGraw, Charli XCX and Brantley Gilbert are among those also scheduled to perform. Performances will take place in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Nashville, and Los Angeles.
The program dates back to 1974, and has become must-see television for those unable to watch the Times Square festivities in person. Seacrest began hosting the show with Clark in 2006, and the pre-recorded Hollywood segments with Fergie started the same year. McCarthy joined the countdown fun in 2010. “Each year New Year’s Rockin’ Eve continues its iconic legacy by delivering incredible performances from the year’s hottest artists, and this year is no exception,” Seacrest said in the lead-up to tonight’s edition.
It all gets underway at 8 p.m. Eastern, with a break for local news at 11 p.m., before the special returns for the final half hour of 2014, and then continues on long past midnight. For live stream, go to abc.go.com/watch-live.
